Easy Fall Front Porch Update

We're baaaaaaaack! The awesome ladies of the Sweet Moda Blog Project and I are back at it with fall inspired blog posts this week!

If you hang out with me on Instagram (and if you're not, head on over and check it out!) you may have seen that hubs and I closed on our first rental property last week. It's going to get it's own series of blog posts, but while the mini-renovation we're doing on it is in progress, we're just not going to talk about the chaos inside. I'm not doing interior fall decor this year, needless to say! But I do like a challenge, so when fall was proposed as our theme, I started thinking about what I can decorate, and my front door was the first thing that came to mind!

I also had 2 cute little helpers assisting me with my decorating!

Our first major project on the house was painting the exterior this gorgeous shade of blue (we used Valspar Hampton Surf - blog post coming on this!) I knew because of this I didn't want to use traditional orange pumpkins, but unfortunately all the local pumpkin patches aren't open for the year yet. Luckily, I was shopping in Walmart and stumbled across some really cute and affordable bluish green pumpkins! I also grabbed some mini pumpkins to fill it in a bit. Add a galvanized jug and some fun faux greenery and ta-da! The corner has been fall-ified!

But I'm not done yet! Luckily, I could see the wreath box that held my fall wreath from last year in the chaos so I pulled that out, stuck a command hook on the door, and up went the wreath!

And if you look closely, there's a little friend up in the top right corner who's definitely ready for Halloween!

Let's check out with Jackie and Ashlee are up to!

Jackie's got fall decor with cutting boards and I'm loving those gorgeous wood tones!

And Ashlee is sharing some can't miss fall decorating tips! Those little pinecones and pumpkins are so cute!

How do you decorate for fall? Drop a comment and let me know!
